Launch of the Middle East WOSA Regional Group
May 1st 2007, Dubai, United Arab Emirates was the official launch of the Middle East Woodstock Chapter. With almost 40 Woodstock Alumni and Staff in the region spanning 5 decades [the 60s through till the 2000s] the idea of instigating a Middle East hub was started. As the vibrant city of Dubai is the hub for the majority of the Middle East Alumni residents it was decided to maintain it as the base.
Now with the Middle East network, Woodstocker’s can get in touch with one another should they want to conduct any reunions, meet up or just reminisce about the snow covered peaks and the lush green pathways that guided them through Woodstock.
Visitors to the region can also tap into the network and introduce themselves maybe gain some insight or get some tips on traveling to, setting up residency or even establishing a business in the area. A wealth of knowledge can be gained by the Woodstock clan who are involved in a wide spectrum of career paths including the Medical field, Property real-estate, IT, Graphic design, Finance, Education and Entrepreneurships to name but a few.
Mohana Rao, Class of 88, has been nominated as the Chapter Co-coordinator and Head, after she successfully put together the first WOSA reunion on March 19th 2007 where more than 20 alumni attended.
