At age 93, Etta Cauthers McCulloch has written her memoirs, "A Pleasure to Remember, My Journeys in India 1938-1945". She was married to Leonard McCulloch, a former Woodstock teacher, and their four children attended Woodstock. As a child growing up in Fargo, N.D., Etta Cauthers wondered where her life would take her. Then, finally, at age 23, the answer came in a church newsletter advertisement that read, "First-grade teacher needed for a school for missionaries' children. The year was 1938."
